Whole-vessel rates are base charter rates — most vessels add local VAT or tax on top (see each vessel's own rate for the exact percentage). Peak Feb and Jul windows on luxury phinisi and motor tiers fill 12–18 months out; a 3–5% early-bird discount applies for charters confirmed 9+ months ahead.

Common Questions
October to April is prime season, with the calmest seas and best diving. Raja Ampat is possible year-round — the quiet months (June–August) are simply quieter and softer on rates. Cendrawasih Bay's whale sharks, reachable as a fourteen-night extension, are resident year-round, not seasonal.
The gateway to Raja Ampat is the city of Sorong (SOQ) in West Papua, Indonesia. International travelers typically fly into Jakarta (CGK) or Bali (DPS), and then take a domestic flight to Sorong. A private (whole-vessel) charter gives you the boat, the route and the schedule to yourselves. A cabin charter books a berth on a scheduled liveaboard departure at a per-person rate — the better fit for couples and solo divers on a budget.
While Raja Ampat is arguably the world's premier scuba diving destination, you do not need to be a diver to have an incredible experience. The snorkeling is extraordinary, with vibrant, shallow coral reefs teeming with life just below the surface. Many of our guests enjoy the pristine beaches, kayaking through mangrove forests, bird watching for the iconic birds-of-paradise, and simply relaxing on the deck of their private yacht. For those who wish to learn, most vessels offer PADI discovery dives or full certification courses by prior arrangement.
The biodiversity is staggering. The region is home to over 1,600 species of fish and 600 species of hard coral. You can expect to see vast schools of fish, reef sharks, turtles, and incredible macro life like pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs. Raja Ampat is particularly famous for its healthy populations of both reef manta rays and the larger, more elusive oceanic manta rays. Encounters with these gentle giants at cleaning stations are a highlight of any Raja Ampat Yacht Charter.
Whole-vessel charters run from about $4,500 a night on an entry phinisi to $45,500 a night for the largest superyachts, plus expenses. Cabin berths on scheduled liveaboard departures start around $400 per person per night.
Our charters are typically all-inclusive. This covers the exclusive use of the yacht and its crew, all meals and snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and onboard activities such as scuba diving for certified divers (including tanks and weights), snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Standard inclusions also cover fuel, harbor fees, and marine park permits. Gratuities for the crew, alcoholic beverages, dive courses, and travel to/from the port of embarkation (Sorong) are generally additional.
